Chicago Guide is a reading-only travel guide. We keep first-party collection minimal. On a bounded set of eligible pages, the Stay22 automatic lodging service connects when the page opens unless GPC or a saved automatic-off preference blocks it. Stay22 Maps remain click-to-load. What this policy covers

This policy explains how the Chicago Guide website (chicagoguide.app) handles information when you read it. The site is published by Premier Americana (https://premieramericana.com/) and has no user accounts, logins, or checkout.

Stay22 automatic lodging service and hotel maps

Experiment status: TEMPORARY CROSS-DOMAIN EXPERIMENT — PARTNER ATTRIBUTION PENDING. The Miami-issued LMA identifier is being used temporarily on this domain while Stay22 confirms multi-domain attribution. This placement is not classified as revenue-ready.

Some lodging guides include an optional hotel map supplied by Stay22. These Maps remain click-to-load: a first-party preview is shown first, and the Map request starts only after you select Compare stays & live prices for that comparison.

On a bounded set of visitor-facing content and navigation pages with no other provider placement, the Stay22 automatic lodging service (LMA) loads when the eligible page opens, without a separate Stay22 click. Its configured features include LinkSwap, Spark, and Nova, which may recognize eligible accommodation context and present or attribute third-party lodging options. It does not run on this privacy page, on legal or system pages, or on pages that already contain a Stay22 hotel map, a Stay22 booking bridge, or another paid provider placement.

When a Stay22 service loads, your browser connects to Stay22 and may send ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser and device details, approximate region, page context, and affiliate attribution. Stay22 and a booking provider may then process identifiers, interaction, or booking information under their own policies. Our attribution uses the verified publisher account and the applicable Stay22 placement identifier; we may earn a commission, but we do not receive your personal payment details. A dedicated, versioned first-party preference records whether this browser has blocked or resumed automatic LMA loading. A previous Stay22-off choice is carried forward. A saved hotel-map choice remains separate, and Maps stay click-to-load. A Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal or the Keep automatic Stay22 off control blocks future LMA loads. You can still deliberately open a click-to-load map for a requested comparison. Where applicable law characterizes third-party affiliate transmission as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, GPC and this browser-level opt-out restrict automatic loading.

Because LMA is automatic on eligible pages, the Stay22 request may occur as part of the page load before you interact with the page. Blocking it affects future eligible page loads but cannot undo a request that already completed.

  • Anything you choose to send us — if you email us, we keep your message and address only to reply. The site itself has no sign-ups, comments, or checkout.
  • A small preference may be stored in your browser (such as your last view) so the site behaves consistently between visits.

How we use information

We use aggregate first-party analytics to understand which content is useful and improve coverage. We do not sell or rent contact details or first-party analytics data, and we do not build advertising profiles. Automatic Stay22 transmission and third-party processing are limited and described separately above.

Legal basis

We process limited operational data for legitimate interests in running, securing, measuring, and improving the site. If you email us, we process your message and contact details to respond to the request and keep an appropriate editorial or legal record. Where consent is required for an optional service, we rely on that consent.

Processors and transfers

We may use hosting, analytics, email, security, and internal publisher tools needed to operate the public site. Those providers process data under their own service terms and data-protection arrangements. If data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the safeguards made available by the relevant provider and applicable law.

Your rights
